SCCA Road Racing Returns To Brainerd International Raceway

 

The Sports Car Club of America, Land O’ Lakes Region is pleased to announce that a full slate of SCCA Club Racing classes will once again compete at Brainerd International Raceway (BIR) on Saturday Sep 4 & Sunday Sep 5.

Adding additional excitement to the weekend, the races will run on BIR’s newly configured 2.5 mile road course.

BIR FAQs

1) Do drivers need an SCCA Membership?

A weekend membership ($15) is all that is needed, AND it can easily be upgraded to annual

2) Is there an extra fee for LOL Regional dues?

No, the LOL dues are included in the $15 weekend pass.

3) What Competition Licenses are required?

Great News for All Racers! SCCA National Office is now accepting NASA Competition Licenses for all SCCA Regional Races. The current list of recognized competition licenses is: BMW CCA, CACC, FIA, HSR, ICSCC, IMSA, MCSCC, NASA, PCA, Ontario Region CASC, SCCA Pro Racing, SVRA, VMC, Waterford Hills, and West Canada Motorsports Association. 4) Is there a Friday practice track fee?

There is a fee for Friday practice--we don't know how much yet.

5) Will Technical Inspections be held by SCCA or VSCR?

Yes, we do tech inspections, and Vintage is offering to help us.

6) Are free crew passes available?

There are 2 free passes for driver/crew; There will be additional discount passes in advance or full gate price day of event

7) What about camping at BIR?  When is it available and how much?

The track will be open for camping on Friday; BIR's full-service RV campground has 164 sites, all with electricity, water and sewer hookups. With a scenic water feature in the middle of the campground, all sites are an easy walk to the grandstands, the pit area and the drag strip starting line.  Non-national sites are $35 per night. Sites are available throughout the BIR racing calendar. Please call 1-866-444-4455 for booking information.

In addition, non-electric camping is FREE.
