Volume 101, Number 8
July 2001
Greg Youngdahl
Regional Executive
It has been a busy few weeks for the LOL board. By now you may be aware of what has been consuming large amounts of time and effort of the board. If not, SCCA had some issues with the track, to the point that the remainder of our 2001 racing season was in serious jeopardy of not happening. As of 06/10/2001 it seems that with cooperation between SCCA National and the track we should be able to finish out the season as planned, and continue to race there in the future and with continued cooperation from SCCA National, the track, LOL, and LOL’s members
As noted in last month’s Tonneau and again elsewhere in this issue, it is never too late to seriously think about running for the LOL board. With the by-law changes made last year we need eight INTERESTED people to run for the board this year to fill four positions. If you are not happy with
the direction that LOL is going or would like to see the club continue to grow or would like your particular interest in the club to be better represented, now is your chance.
I would also like to thank Rob Woolston for putting together the June Assistant RE report for meEd. Note: As part of the transition from two year to three year Board terms, we will be electing four Board members this year, three to three year terms and one to a one year term. The three candidates with the most votes will serve for three years and the fourth highest vote total will serve one year.
