by Bill Groshen, President VSCR

OK boys 'n girls, listen up. This is the last time I'm going to do a monthly article for the Inside Track and The Tonneau as President of VSCR. The new president will have this dubious honor come December and he can grit his teeth every time he sees Lynn Anderson come in the door with the disc and say, "Immmmmm Baaaaaaaack. Time for another article for the Tonneau." God love ya, Lynn.  Please come see me this December when I will be happy to see you. I'll buy lunch, even. Ed note: You're on!

Our November nominations of officers for 2000 meeting will have taken place at Diversified Cryogenics Inc. by the time you get this. So far we have Mr. Bill Metcalf volunteering to take the Presidential Helm, Bob Youngdahl and Brian Crombie for the Comp Committee, Walter Duffy staying on as Treasurer. Liz Stadther has requested us to find a new newsletter editor (any volunteers?) and we probably will need a LOL/SCCA mediator, oops, liaison, as well. Having not heard from Darryl Fortier, I assume he will continue as secretary now that he has spent a jillion hours getting the new database working.

I hope you came to the Nov. meeting and nominated someone for

something, even if that person was not going to be here. That will teach them to miss the meeting.  HAAAAAA! Refreshments and pizza were served compliments of VSCR seeing as how your 1999 president hasn't spent much "doe re me" this year having meetings and such.

We have much to discuss other than the nominations. Looks like we won't be having the BIR event on Memorial Day this year. But we do have 5 test days at Dakota County, and luckily that weekend is one of them. We can have much fun there, and about 10 times the actual track time for $30. Deal? Dakota County test Days are: May 27, June 17, July 15, August 12, and Sept. 9. Cool? I will volunteer to run the first two Dakota County Events. If anyone else would sign on for the other three it would be appreciated. It is quite simple. There just needs to be someone "In Charge". The full track is visible from one spot so corner worker requirements are at a minimum. Only two cars at a time. Radios are provided by Dakota County. Insurance will be taken care of before the first event. The only job requiring some degree of talent is flagging cars on and off the track without banging cars together.

Any talented or non talented, frustrated writers out there, please take pen in hand. The editors of the Inside Track and The Tonneau are always looking for interesting articles to include. Deadline for articles is the 10th of the month. Give it a try!

Regards our February Annual Banquet: David Grady is working on acquiring a guest speaker maybe in conjunction with LOL's meeting. We also will need a site for the party. Keeping in mind size requirements if we have both clubs in attendance, we are looking for suitable facilities. If

you have any suggestions call David (612) 884-6502.

I want to thank all of the officers and other members that have given time to the club this past year to help make this a good year. It was really enjoyable for me and impossible without your help.
