What does the Comp Board do?
Set and approve race event schedules. Organize regional series schedules and rules. Maintain year-end points for LOL competition series. Ensure that SCCA rules are used for all events. Handle series protests. Determine year-end competition awards, based on member nominations. Recommend race schedules and supplementary event regulations (known as "supps.") to the LOL BoD for their approval. Create and maintain the mentoring program for all new competitors. Work with Race Chairs to set event schedules. Send a representative to Chiefs' Meetings as requested. Serve as an open forum for driver discussion of event rules, schedules, etc. Other duties and tasks as assigned by the LOL BoD.What doesn't the Comp Board do?
Write competition rules. Those are set down by the SCCA National BoD. Handle event protests. Write supplementary rules. Choose worker or other year-end service awards.
All of the Comp Board meetings are open to our members and member input is encouraged. Only Comp Board members can vote on issues. If you have any further questions, please contact me, Jim Hovind.

MINNEAPOLIS AUTO SHOW
LOL will again be a part of the Minneapolis Auto Show. The show this year is April 1-9. Please contact Joe Rothman at 612-949-0873 or Joe@goqms.com if you would like to work at our display. (Each worker gets free entry to the show and should have plenty of opportunity to explore other areas).
If you would like to show your car, please also contact Joe. We would like a Spec Ford, open and closed wheel cars, vintage, rally, and possibly a Solo II car. Perfect paint is not required!

SCCA Room Rate: $77.00 per night up to 4 per room
Call Holiday Inn directly to make reservations. A block of rooms will be held until February 13 at the above rate. Request the SCCA rate (normally $89 - $109) when making your reservations. The Seminar registration fee also includes continental breakfast and lunch on Saturday, continental breakfast on Sunday morning.
Registration Fee for the Seminar: $45.00. If registering with Spouse, their fee is $40.00. Lunch only fee is $15.00. Registration form and fee must be received by February 22. Late Registration add $10.00 per person if postmarked after February 22.
