Volume 101, Number 2
February 2001
For those of you who read the RE report last month, please ignore the dates that I had mentioned for CBIR. I was given a verbal promise of those dates, but until I get signed contracts with CBIR, I will avoid any further speculation on my part.
No matter what dates we end up with at the track, we still have some important positions to fill: Merchandising: What this entails is ordering and keeping track of SCCA and LOL items that we sell, such as GCRs and Patches and anything else that we carry as a service to our members or anyone interested in LOL/SCCA activities.
Registration: In a nutshell: deal with road racing entries and coordinate the registration of workers, drivers and guests at LOL’s road racing events. I bet that our retiring Chief of Registration, Kathy Goettsch, would be able to give you all the details of ths job.
Pits: Your responsibilities would include coordinating Pit workers for our road racing events.
If you want to get involved, this is the way to do it. If you do not want the responsibilities of a Chief, I am sure that the current Chiefs, or new Chiefs to be, would like your help.

The Group 2 championship went to Bob Nielsen (of St. Paul) and

Minneapolis Auto
Show workers and
cars neededIt’s time again for the annual Greater St. Paul and Minneapolis Auto Show. Dates are March 3-11. All we ask is for you to hang out and talk about cars and the SCCA for a few hours. Each worker gets free entry and should have plenty of time to explore the rest of the show.
We already have one IT and one ProRally car available, but would like a Spec. Ford, formula car, vintage, and possibly a Solo 2 car. Perfect paint is not required!
Please contact Joe Rothman (day or evening) at 952-949-0873 or Joe@goqms.com.
