I would like to start off by thanking the outgoing board members, Teri Carlson and Jim Hovind and also thank Chad Lemmons for running and getting reelected for a second term. My personal goals as RE are to help the region try to get more road racing events for the 2000 season, keep the Solo II and the Rally Cross and Rally programs going in the right direction, and try to bring some long term continuity to the board of directors. I know that these are not possible by myself and this is not something just the board can do on their own. We the board will need your continued support and hard work.

As of December 4th LOL has three road racing events scheduled for next year, with the possibility of a fourth event at Blackhawk Farms. At this time I (we) would like some feed back from both workers and drivers on what you would like to see on these race weekends.

Right now with Solo II and Rally Cross being the best way to get people involved in the club, we need to find ways to make these events even more user friendly and easier for the new people to get involved in the club. The only way this is going to happen is to get the people that currently participate in these venues to step up to the plate and help organize and put on these events.

As far as my final goal of getting more continuity on the board, at this time I am not exactly sure of how to address this. I am only in the second half of my first term, and there are so many aspects of being on the board and so many "official" things that need to get done, I can see why people are hesitant to run for the board and get involved, but if you do not like the direction the club is going... all I can say is... get involved.
