Attention: New Pro Rally Competitors, Wannabe Pro Rally Competitors, Pro Rally Workers

Have you ever wanted to try a ProRally but all that timing stuff frightened you? Have you already competed but wondered when you should check in at the next ATC if a stage is transited? Do you want to learn how to work a Start/Finish Control? Or improve your Start/Finish skills?

Have we got a deal for you!

Saturday, July 22, 2000 the Rally/RallyCross community is putting on a combined event to give you the chance to improve the skills listed above in a ZERO pressure environment. Todd Erickson and Kerry Freund will set up a course through the gravel pit in Cannon City. It will have MTC’s, ATC’s, Finish Controls, Start Controls, Stages, Transits, a Route Book, and situations you might encounter on a ProRally.

Because this event will be a Road Rally Tour and a Rally Cross, the speeds will be low. Entrants will need to have a Driver and Co-driver (like a ProRally). We will need workers to be at the Start and Finish controls (good practice for working the Ojibwe).

Transits will form the Road Rally part of the event, with timing to the minute. The RallyCross will simulate the Stage or "Closed Road" portion of a ProRally, with timing to the .01 minute.

When: Saturday, July 22, 2000. Registration 9:00AM. Where: Gravel Pit, Cannon City, Minnesota. Same place the RallyCross Series runs. See the Web page for directions.

Entry Fee: $30.00 SCCA Members. $35.00 Non-SCCA Members.

Helmets must be worn during the Rally Cross Portions of the event.

Vehicles must meet Road Rally and RallyCross requirements.

If you have any questions, call or e-mail Kerry Freund 612-926-1722 kfreund@isd.net Todd Erickson 612-425-3150 RallySMN@AOL.COM
