on Saturday morning, while removing the excess melted glue from my computer sender, I cooked our nav computer. Once again another LOLer was there to offer assistance. Another big THANK YOU goes out to Kerry and Karen Freund for offering up their spare computer. I was concerned that the bad sender would also cook that computer, so we ran without, but we greatly appreciated the offer. Because neither problem kept us from running, another problem couldn’t be far off. About 2 miles from the end of stage 1, I smelled coolant. Gauges

look fine.... the smell was not very strong, so I ignored it. A half mile later steam started coming out from under the hood. Gauges still OK, close to the end of the stage... so I ignored it. 1 mile from the end of the stage, the steam stops and the temps go up. The cussing starts in full force as I look for a good place to get off the road. We hop out, put the triangles out and look for the leak. We dump our water bottles in the overflow tank and steam starts shooting out of all of the holes in the alternator. After reassuring myself that the alternator really
