CIRCUIT MARSHALS NEEDED FOR GRAND PRIX OF MINNESOTA

An opportunity to become involved with the Sprint PCS Grand Prix of Minnesota!

The Circuit Marshals are in need of more volunteer workers. The work is light and in a good location, "Track Side." The duties essentially are to police the restricted areas around the track. With this year’s event spanning three days and the need for extensive periods of coverage, it necessitates quite a number or workers. We would appreciate hearing from SCCA members who are interested in supporting this specialty.

TYLER DAVID COHN

Tyler David Cohn passed away April 5, 1997 after a four-year battle against leukemia. Tyler is the son of Mark and Claudia Cohn, Cofounders of the Children’s Grand Prix of Minnesota, now Sprint PCS Grand Prix of Minnesota. The Cohns donate the net proceeds from the Grand Prix to the Cancer Kids Fund, a charity benefiting children who fight cancer. Tyler’s heart and soul were really in this event. He was so thrilled to drop the green flag for the Trans Am (along with the official green flag). He has personally touched each of us who participated in this event and will live on in memory forever.

Tyler David Cohn, age 8, of Deephaven on 4/5/97 after a four year courageous battle against leukemia. Survived by loving big sister, Ashley; and loving big brother, Jesse; devoted parents, Mark and Claudia. "We would like to thank all of the wonderful and caring health care professionals on the eighth floor at Children’s Hospital and 4A at Fairview University Hospital. Also, all of the supportive relatives, friends, and neighbors who have been generous with their love and support. A Celebration of his Life was held on Tuesday, 4/8/97, from 4:30 to 8 pm at the Lafayette Club in Minnetonka Beach. Memorials preferred to the Cancer Kids Fund or Children’s Cancer Research Fund. As Tyler said, "As long as there are other kids fighting cancer, we can’t forget."
