40th Annual Oktoberfest Solo II, September 24, West Salem, WI
The Sports Car Club of LaCrosse put on the 40th annual Oktoberfest Solo II on September 24th at the LaCrosse County Fairgrounds Speedway. It turned out to be a great day after a week of cloudy, cold, and drizzly weather. 54 competitors turned out to vie for the coveted hand-crafted ceramic trophy steins, which have become a tradition with the Oktoberfest event. The competition was fierce...at least it was for me as a failing clutch left me with 3 runs, hoping to hold on to the lead.
