The Annual Awards Banquet will be Saturday November 13th at Jax Cafe, 20th & University Avenue NE, Minneapolis, Minn. Reservation forms and Year End Awards nomination forms will be mailed with your election ballots.
There is an old Chinese curse that goes: May you live in interesting times. Well the last year has been interesting, but I wouldn't call it a curse. If the year has been anything, it has been enlightening. It has taught me how much time and effort go into running the Club and how important every member is to making our club a success. I am not going to claim that everything went smoothly. There were definitely moments of frustration. But when I think about it, it was not a case of people trying to be obstructionists, rather they were simply trying to do or say what they thought was in the best interest of LOL. As I end my term as RE there is one thought I would like to leave you with. Stay involved, and if your idea is not accepted, don't sulk, try to make the group's choice work.

CENDIV PERMANENT NATIONAL NUMBERS ARE NOW AVAILABLE
National numbers are assigned for CenDiv National Races Only. National number assignment does not supersede individual race supplemental regulations or the GCR. Once a number is assigned to you, you retain "ownership" of that number as long as you compete in a minimum of two CenDiv National races using that number each year. The deadline for applications is Dec. 31, 1999.
If you are interested in obtaining a permanent National number, call Lynn Anderson at (612) 724-9302 evenings for more information or to obtain an application.
The November 13th Awards Banquet dinner choices are:
- Roast Prime Rib of Beef au jus,baked Idaho Potato $28.00
- Broiled Filet of Walleyed Pike with new potatoes $26.00
