Another month flew by and the club had a successful ProRally at Ojibwe with 60+ entries and some excellent coverage on Speedvision. The Jack Pine Sprints has also had another successful year with a good turn out for the national event as well as the restricted regional and the regional on Labor Day. Thanks to all the people who helped make these events a success. A special thanks goes to Sears Imports for sponsoring our event. We look forward to working with Sears Imports in the future. Also thanks to Donnybrooke Racing for putting on Friday’s test
day. I am sure that all the test day’s participants used the track time well. Our final Club Racing event this year, the Fall 2000 Challenge, is shaping up well despite two major scheduling conflicts. With the conflicts, the Club sure could use some extra help with workers. Plus this weekend's events, we will be putting on SCCA’s sixth and Central Division's first High Performance Car Clinic. This will give current members and new members a new way to enjoy going to the races and maybe help explain why some of us spend so much time and resources for a few hours of track time. It is never too late to try something new. We are still in need of feedback on scheduling for the 2001 season and will need some new volunteers for chiefs and race chairs for next year.
