A Special Thanks
We'd like to take a moment to thank all of the committee members and volunteers at this year’s Ojibwe Forests PRO Rally. We have a reputation for a well run and hospitable event. This year’s event was even better than that. Each and every person was on the team; crews were in place on time, friendly and informed; emergencies were handled efficiently and cleanly. As Bruce kept saying from Net Control, "I love it when a plan comes together!" It was an outstanding event because of you!

October 11, 1998 RallyCross Location Changed
The Dirty Jack RallyCross scheduled for Sunday, October 11th has been moved from the Anoka County Fairgrounds to the gravel pit in Faribault. Contact Eventmaster, Beryl Ann Burton at (612) 529-6821 for further details.
GOD IS A FAN
When the ultimate race fan died, he woke up at a speedway in the clouds. It was the most beautiful track he had ever seen. The long straights and sweeping turns were lined in sliver and gold and the grandstands shimmered in the sunlight. He heard the engines roaring and he looked to see Davey Allison in the Havoline 28 and Alan Kulwicki in his Hooters 7 running side by side. Then Tim Richmond swept past in the Old Milwaukee 27. Tiny Lund and Glen "Fireball" Roberts were having one heck of a battle through turns three and four.
"Wow! This must be Heaven!" the fan thought to himself. Just then he saw a black and silver 3 flash by and he watched as the car went deeper into turn one than anybody else. "Oh, no!" exclaimed the fan. "When did this happen?"
"Don’t worry," Saint Peter assured him. "Dale isn’t here yet. That’s GOD. He just likes to think he’s Dale Earnhardt."

The Annual Awards Banquet will be Saturday November 14, 1998 at Jax Cafe, 20th at University Ave. NE, Minneapolis, MN.
The 1998 Ojibwe PRO Rally will be featured on ESPN 2 at 5:50pm on Thursday October 27, 1998.
