DOUG DILL
My name is Doug Dill and I have been a SCCA member for 17 years. I am running for the Board for a second term, because I want to see our region grow. Bringing in new members and keeping our existing membership is a goal we need to set our sights on. My son, Tyler, and I are running RallyCross and club rallies. I would like to see more local performance rallies, but I want to see road racing and Solo expand also. As a region of SCCA, we can’t be everything to all car nuts out there, but if we concentrate on our core areas, rallies, road racing and Solo, we will succeed in keeping LOL an interesting and active region. To do this the region needs more of our membership to step forward and take leadership roles. Thank you.

DAN MOORE
Hello - Dan Moore here. For those of you that don’t know me personally, here is a little bit about myself and what I think I can bring to the SCCA in our area. I have been an SCCA member for 2 years now. I was drawn to the club because of ProRally. My team and I, sideways motorsports, built a car and have been running the ClubRallies around the area. We compete in a 1989 Suzuki Swift GTi that used to be both an IT and ice racing car here in the state. I have always had a love for fast cars and used to belong to the local Porsche
club, owning 3 of them at one time. I think that because of my age (26) and of my new experiences in the club, I would be able to bring many new ideas and opinions to the board as we are discussing the future of SCCA sanctioned racing in this Region. I also think that I would be more approachable by our younger generation racers to bring up your ideas, questions and concerns to our fine group of leaders. Thank you. And good luck to all of the candidates. Dan Moore

We are working on an on-line membership registration/renewal program that should be up and running soon, with a scanning system for our licensing data requirements being investigated.PRO RACING - Mitch Wright, Vice President of ProRacing has us headed down a new path. Teaming with Vision Entertainment’s "Hot Import Nights", the World Challenge will hold four to five events over the next year. I think that we may finally be thinking far enough outside the box to attract new people (YOUNG) to our sport. The first two tests have
proven to be very successful. ENTERPRISES - In an effort to expand their business and to better use their resources, Enterprises has asked for and received the approval of the BoD to negotiate a contract for rebuilding of engines and transmissions plus the sale of parts for a open-wheeled European series cars which may be brought into our ProRacing program and Club Racing. If you have questions, please ask before you guess.
Pro SpecRacer Ford - K.P. Jones appointed Jo Anne Jensen to review the Pro SRF Program for its best positioning and recommendations for improving the series.
CONVENTION - This year the convention will be starting on Thursday morning Feb. 7th and end Saturday night Feb. 9 at the Double Tree Hotel in Denver, CO.
MERCHANDISE - By the time you read this we should have a new company handling this, and hopefully we will have clothing and other merchandise to purchase at the Runoffs.
RALLY - Television coverage for the Performance Rally program has caused the club’s budget some stress due to Mitsubishi’s not covering their part of the cost. Is it worth the cost? YES Will we do it again? I sure don’t think so. All three companies have agreed in principle to a more active role in the promotion of this program for next year.
Due to both the growth of the Club Rally program in NeDiv. and time constraints of the current Rally Steward in NeDiv. Mr. Greg Healey was appointed as Co-Steward of ClubRally for that division.Area 5, continued on page 7
