As of our Last LOL board meeting (08/14/01) the remaining two events at CBIR are still scheduled but due to the issues between CBIR and SCCA a final determination will not be made until the week before our event. The LOL board and the Race Chair know that this is not the best way to ensure a successful event. Currently the BOD is doing everything in its power to rectify this situation. The Board's decision to continue to pursue this to the very last minute has been a very difficult decision, but it is felt that if LOL is to remain a Club Racing Region, we must take some risks and assume that the situation between SCCA and the track will be taken care of. If we bail now, not only would the Labor Day event be canceled, our late
September event would be canceled too. With the Board working overtime to keep Club Racing in this region, now is the time for you to step up to the plate. Not only do we need a track
to race at, we need interested people to run for the board and to help put on these events. It does not happen by itself.
