HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER OF
THE SPORTS CAR CLUB OF AMERICA
AND LAND O’LAKES REGION
There are a number of membership options available in the Land O’Lakes Region (LOL), SCCA. They are: Regular, Spouse, Family, and the Speed Freakz program for those people under age 26.
- Regular Members: receive a subscription to SportsCar magazine, eligibility for numerous Club participation licenses, SCCA cloth insignia, SCCA car decal, insurance benefits, discounts on Club merchandise and other products and services. Dues for LOL region and the regional publication, The Tonneau, are also included.
- Spouse membership: includes all regular membership benefits, with the exception that only a single issue of SportsCar magazine and The Tonneau is provided per couple. This individual must be the legal spouse of a regular member.
- Family Membership: is for a husband and wife and all children under the age of 18. Full-time students over age 18 may be covered by the family membership. The husband/wife have the same benefits and privileges as a regular membership. Children have the same benefits except for voting privileges and eligibility for certain competition and other licenses. One copy of SportsCar magazine and The Tonneau is provided per family.
- Speed Freakz: is a program for SCCA that targets those prospective members under the age of 26. It includes a subscription to SportsCar magazine, The Tonneau, Speed Freakz car decal,insurance benefits and discounts on Club merchandise and other products and services. The regular Speed Freakz program does not include the ability to hold Club Racing, PRO Rally, or Solo I Competition licenses. The Competition Speed Freakz program enables the participant to hold all SCCA participation licenses.
The above membership plans pertain to first year members and include both National and Regional dues for one year. After the first year of membership, Regional dues may vary. Membership dues are not deductible as charitable contributions. Dues include payment of a subscription to SportsCar magazine, valued at $19.00 per year. Your membership fee also includes a subscription to our monthly regional publication, The Tonneau, which provides our members with information about our local activities.
Fill out the appropriate application blank (please print or type, this is the only chance we have to get your name spelled correctly) and mail it to the SCCA Membership Department, PO Box 3278 DTC, Englewood CO 80155, with a check for the correct amount. You may also charge your membership to Visa or Mastercard. Do not send cash. This information is on the membership application blank.
If you are applying for a family membership, you must include the birth dates for any children to be included in the membership. To have a student who is over 18 included in the family membership, you must provide proof of the full-time status of the student.
We hope that you will join us in enjoying the various types of motorsports available in our region. During the months from September through April we have monthly general membership meetings (no meeting in December), monthly Board of Directors (BOD) meetings open to the membership, and selected activities for members. From May through August, only the BOD meetings are held.
